PM Vishwakarma Yojana (Central Sector Scheme)

PM Vishwakarma Yojana is a premier Central Sector Scheme active in 2026, specifically designed to support traditional artisans and craftspeople of 18 trades, including carpenters (Suthar/Sutar) from the Vishwakarma community. The scheme aims to uplift carpenters under the Sutar Samaj government schemes. Core benefits include formal recognition through a PM Vishwakarma Certificate & ID Card, hands-on skill upgradation training (Basic 5-7 days, Advanced 15+ days) with a daily stipend of ₹500, a toolkit incentive of ₹15,000 (provided as an e-voucher for modern tools), and collateral-free enterprise development loans up to ₹3 Lakhs at a concessional 5% interest rate. Artisans also receive digital transaction incentives and extensive marketing support to expand their business.
